Cranfield House

I visited Cranfield House in England, long ago and it always stayed in my mind. Not long afterwards I made Cranfield House Sampler in its honor, but adding a couple of American flourishes to the very English design.

I taught Cranfield House at a national seminar for either ANG or EGA (I can't remember which) and at Callaway and I've sold the pattern at a number of E-Weeks.

It was Cranfield House that gave me the idea of making small samplers, as you can see from 'A Small Flower in its Pot' .

I could do a number of small sampler motifs from Cranfield House:

Using the two cats.

A wrought iron gate, posts and fence.

Florentine pattern
