Today I pay the piper for a super day of stitching:
yes, I took off yesterday and a chunk of the day before and finished a big sampler I have been working on for a long while. I am delighted! This sampler will play a very big role in Queendom Website’s future plans, but more about that later.
Today it is back to the daily grind of Mail Jail and Kit Hell. Happily it is not overwhelming and I should finish by tomorrow. I have all the supplies and most of the paperwork here right now.
Re Echoes Sewing Case: I am running low on the original red beads, in fact I have only half a dozen left, and no chance of more. I do have substitutes but thought I should give a warning.
The half dozen are AFTER I fill all the orders on my books right now.
On with the day.
July 27
Right now I have mess everywhere.
Is there anybody who knows how to tackle a big workload in tidy surroundings? If you know how, would you please let me know?
July 26
Monday morning and it is back to work. This morning on Queendom Website I have posted my Painted Lady Sewing Case, the one I will be teaching at EGA’s San Francisco seminar about a month from now.
The first photo is of my Painted Lady, the way I stitched the sewing case. The others are all colorizations. If you go to see them, be sure to scroll down and see my favorite: a Purple, Green and White Painted Lady. Purple, green and white are the colors of the women’s suffrage movement and this is how I would stitch a Painted Lady if I were to do another one.

I am in a happy place: I am almost caught up with Mail Jail. I can’ go to the print shop for my EGA classes till Monday. I haven’t yet received the corrections to Painted Lady (EGA), so by noon yesterday I had finished. I closed Mail Jail for a few days; I stacked up my EGA work and took the afternoon off. I had serious needle time and emerged by evening all refreshed. Not even a trace of NDS in my system. Happy camper!
NDS no more. What is NDS? It is a disease; Dr. Edy has written such a good diagnosis and Rx for it that I have posted it on NDS page on the yellow navigation bar.
July 24
I mailed packages and was almost caught up.
I had a number of orders yesterday and will mail them next week. For now I am hard at work on my EGA classes.
I had dinner last night with the Second Queen (who is Carole Lake). We had a great time planning and plotting our class at Callaway in January. We will be team-teaching Elizabeth 1 second session.
July 23
Green overdyed thread from Dinky Dyes arrived yesterday and I went straight to work on kits. I am happy to report that all but a small handful of orders will be in the mail today. The small handful I still have to do all have special requests.
Again an assurance, if you ordered the instructions packet and the threads packet, I mailed both packages at the same time. If one arrives, give the other a few days to catch up.
Now I must go to work on my EGA classes.
July 22
Time to turn my attention to the big Echoes and my little Painted Lady. Time to do pre-class letters for EGA.
July 21
My world, at least where Mail Jail is concerned, is in good order.
Within 24 hours of ordering ecru pearl cotton, my supplier called with news that 10 boxes (100 balls) of 822 had arrived. I bought them all and they should be on my doorstep this afternoon.
Jo Mason of Dinky Dyes has been a charm to work with. She wrote yesterday to say that my green overdye will be in the mail today. I suspect it will arrive by the first of next week.
Those people who have received congress cloth from Kate have commented on what a good and efficient job she has done. Thank you, Kate!
I am hoping Kate liked doing this well enough that she will keep it up. I have E-Week coming....s

I have learned that our needlework world has lost one of its outstanding citizens: Jennifer Taylor died last Wednesday.
I knew Jennifer from my years at Callaway and I will greatly miss her. Yesterday I wrote about my memories of Jennifer on my blog. I also posted a favorite photo of her with a piece of her Japanese embroidery.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE about your packages:
For those of you who ordered the class and the thread packet:
I mailed the instructions in a flat rate envelope.
Your threads will arrive in a separate flat rate box.
The beads are in the box with the threads.
They are rolled in bubble paper, so be sure you find them.
For those of you who ordered the class but not the thread packet:
I packed instructions and beads in a flat-rate envelope. You will receive only 1 package;
the beads are in the envelope with the instructions.
They are rolled in bubble paper, so be sure you find them.
July 20 Mail Jail Report
I will hop into Mail Jail again on Thursday and hope to send out more orders on Friday or Saturday morning. I am waiting for more pearl cotton which should arrive tomorrow. I also should have a green overdye report from Dinky Dyes tomorrow.
General Information
It occurred to me there might be people who don’t know what “Mail Jail” is. In short, Mail Jail is the packing and shipping division of my little needlepoint business.
MacSoph is my computer. Queendom Website is our joint effort, MacSoph’s and mine.

The Importance of Q&A
Q & A. Please watch Q &A carefully for questions pertaining to the patterns. I wish I could report that I am perfect, but alas I am not; as errors crop up, I will report them on this very important page. This morning an inconsistency in my Cameo Ornament supplies and my solution.
MacSoph and me with Cody at the Apple Store. I was concentrating soo hard I went home with a headache!
