My Comments: Here is a fun project for this needle case: use the beautiful flowing design as inspiration for a small case to hold the case. You could do it with Nun's Stitch, like a small glasses case. Beautiful design!

My Comments: I love the slender shape of this needle case. It too has such a pretty design, and you could do the same with it as with #1.

My Comments: DH loves Transferware because he likes things that reflect an era and these marked the time of travel for people. In addition the scene on this one would make a nice inspiration for a building on a sampler.

My Comments: An age of tools I love, the age of Jane Austen. If you have never seen one of these delicately carved little pincushions, you won't believe that someone could carve this without its breaking.

My Comments: I don't know which of these I like better. Mother of pearl has such a luminescense and these must glow in person. And the lines on both are beautiful.

My Comments: The same age as #5, I'm guessing both were parts of sets in mid-19th century workboxes.  It is great fun to wind silk on them in different patterns and colors and they can turn into inspiration for an interesting geometric.
